Have not updated the blog in some time as this summer got busier, especially after the storms with new work and new projects. I got a chance to re-upholster furniture, assist in storm renovation in Pennsylvania as well as get a chance to pick fresh raspberries. Here are some photos:
Picking out fabrics for a 6-dining room chair re-upholstering job. This is probably my favorite part..

Taking off the old worn-out seat covers and de-stapling the mesh from each frame. Not fun. I replaced each mesh with muslin, double stapled and as tight as a drum.

The new fabric streched over seat one. 3 yards did the trick.

This fabric was a treat to work with, soft and silky to touch, thick so alot of careful folding to fit the covers to look like new..

The finished product, at the head of the table..

Also got a gig to replace the facade that was damaged during the torrential storms in August. This facade was rotten from underneath, so even the underlying plywood had to be replaced. A quick half-days work, I was responsible for getting (and appying) paint to the frame that matched the apartment exactly. The wood panel (white part) ws also replaced with concrete board that I painted..

Took some time out to pick raspberries. Up early in the morning to beat the birds but alot were damaged from the rain as well. (Too much rain is bad for these too).
No problem with these though. I enjoy making a rapberry spread and as a replacement for peanut butter and jelly : )

More later,
